In Episode 5 of Trinity Blood
Abel escorts Esther to the Vatican in Rome to be trained in combat operations and join Lady Catherina's AX unit. While lost at the Vatican, Esther encounters a young man under a trellis who is crying and feels unable to perform his duties. She gives him encouragement before Tres comes to retrieve her and she learns the boy is the young Pope, Alessandro XVIII.
