In Episode 16 of Trinity Blood
Abel and Asta head to the Empress' palace for the meeting in an attempt to clear Ion's name. Meanwhile, Ion and Esther search for Menmarl, a former servant of the late Countess, with some help from a young girl named Seth. When Ion and Esther reach Menmarl's home, they find him badly wounded and dying. Before he dies, he tells Ion that Radu is the one who killed the Countess. They are attacked by a Death Hunter, a monster created by the Rosen Kreuz Orden. Though Ion is able to kill it, Esther is badly injured during the battle. Seth reappears to help Ion treat Esther's wounds.
