In Episode 24 of Trinity Blood
The AX agents, Brother Petro, Sister Paula, and Vanessa coordinate their efforts to use a flaw in the shield to shatter it when Isaak fires again, bringing the ship down though destroying a large part of the city as well. Esther goes to Abel's coffin to find Tres pouring the contents of the tube into it. Cain arrives right behind Esther. Tres attacks him but is easily defeated. Cain tries to get Abel's body, but before he can, Abel emerges in a black humanoid form with wings and flies through a window. Cain actives his Crusnik form and pursues him. As they battle, Abel remembers Cain as he used to be. The fight ends in a draw after they simultaneously knock each other out of the sky as the sun rises. Esther is crowned Queen of Albion and blessed by the Pope. Together they pray for a new world where all people can live together. Abel, joined by Ion Fortuna, quietly leaves to continue hunting for Cain until he can kill him.
